You will have 15 minutes to complete the survey and scored to determine your level of addition. You will find this presentation interesting, revealing and thought provoking!
  • "Caregiving: Helping Others Remain Steadfast to the End" - Roc Corbett (Family)
    11:00 - 12:00 Crown Zellerbach
Caregiving is a labor of love. Are you a caregiver, perhaps for a family member or a close friend? Or, do you have a close friend who is a caregiver for someone else? If so, you know that serving in this way can often be physically, emotionally and spiritually difficult. Though given in love, long-term caring for another is real "labor." It is good labor, with great potential for rewards, but sometimes caregivers need encouragement and support to help them to remain spiritually strong while continually giving the care a loved one needs. It's important for caregivers to be spiritually strong, because often it is the caregiver's faith that helps the one who needs care to remain spiritually steadfast, even as they face their greatest trials. Would you benefit from a discussion of biblical principles about caregiving? Do you have some wisdom to share, perhaps gained through experience, about how to remain spiritually steadfast while facing such trials of long duration, and how to help others to do so as well? In this interactive seminar we will consider spiritual principles about caregiving, focusing on the following passages: 2 Cor. 1:3-7; 1 Cor. 12:25-26; Gal. 6:9-10; 1 Thes. 3:1-3; 1 Cor. 15:58; and more. Perhaps you can share a verse that helps sustain you in your service to others. Our goal is that we may realize and comprehend more fully that caregivers who are spiritually strong can help others remain steadfast to the end.
  • "The African Work" - Paul Moody (Family)
    13:30 - 14:30 Main Hall
This will be a slideshow presentation focusing on our brethren in the English speaking regions of West Africa. Ghana and Nigeria provide opportunities for those who have an interest in serving our fellow brethren in that part of the world. We are all God's people, sharing in a common calling, and endeavoring to remain steadfast to the end. This presentation will provide glimpses into everyday life in West Africa.
  • "The Dispersion of the Apostles" - Rex Sexton (Family)
    14:45 - 15:45 Main Hall
"Where did the Twelve Apostles go"? Church Historians provide some clues, traditions, folklore, and indications as to where these men went as they brought the Gospel message to the world. Join us as we make an effort to discern fact from fiction and follow the trails they left behind.
  • "Youth Corps Projects and Opportunities" - Ben Light (Family)
    14:45 - 15:45 Crown Zellerbach
In the world today, our culture rejects any sort of absolute truth. It operates on situational ethics, and what is right depends on the situation. Most people have a price - a certain place in their mind where the reward is enough to fudge on their morals. Our God is a God of Integrity, He desires His people to be the same, to be steadfast... immovable. To be a rock unwilling to compromise on what is true. Are we Steadfast and Immovable?
