    9:30 am - 10:45 am
Join us in an interactive discussion regarding the challenges surrounding raising pre-teens in the church today. We want to prepare our pre-teens for the next stage in life and find the tools to bring proper balance and focus to your children and your relationship with them. By raising up a child in the way that they shall go it will give them a connection with God and the brethren so they can build proper respect and love of one another.

During the teen/young adult years there are a lot of moving parts and pieces in your life. Changes in schools, high school and possibly college. Being able to drive and be more independent. Expansion of your social life through camps, social media and work. There's the prospect of dating and looking for a future husband/wife. How about church, where do you fit in there? How do you make this your church and not just your parents'? Where is God in this picture and where do you fit into His plan? How do you find peace and confidence during these times of transition? Like puzzle pieces, how do you put these pieces of your life together to reveal a picture of your future? God's word and God's way has the answers to these questions. Please join us for an interactive seminar where we will pick up these puzzle pieces and fit them together revealing the bigger picture.

  • "Direct Mentoring for Service in the Church" - Roc Corbett (Family)
    3:30 pm - 4:45 pm
Jesus set an example of "direct mentoring" of disciples, both men and women. The apostles followed His example as the Church grew. "Direct mentoring," as meant in this seminar, means purposeful, focused, teacher and student interaction in which it is understood that there is an expectation of the student, or "disciple," growing in knowledge and responsibility and service to the Church. Many young adults in the Church today are converted, passionate, talented members of the body of Christ, and want to serve. They realize "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few." They pray, as our older members do, for "the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." In this interactive seminar we will consider examples from the first century Church, both of mentors and of disciples, and discuss how relevant those examples are in our lives and in the Church today.

Please register for the session(s) you wish to attend. Thank you.
